Open tryouts for 2011 travel soccer season are

September 18, 19, and 26, 2010!

(Tryouts will take place at Canandaigua Academy).

NEW FORMAT THIS YEAR:

All returning travel players will only need to attend one session per your age group on either the 18^th or 19^th. The session on the 26^th is a “make-up” session for those that can’t make the 18^th or 19^th session. This should only be an exception. Every effort should be made to attend on the 18^th or 19^th.

New players to travel (never played travel before and players previously cut who are trying out again) need to attend the first session on either the 18^th or 19^th per your age group AND the second session on the 26^th. Two sessions are REQUIRED for new players, no exceptions.

Saturday, September 18^th: 9 am-11am, U8-U12Boys

12 pm- 2 pm, U8-U12Girls

Sunday, September 19^th: 12 pm-2 pm, U13-U19 Boys

3 pm-5 pm, U13-U19Girls

Sunday, September 26^th: 12 pm-2 pm, U8-U19Girls

The travel league, named "Attack", is the competitive division of CASL. Participation is decided by open, competitive try-outs. Coaches will select teams based on player performance, history, and attitude. The process is supervised by an impartial team including the coaching director and other experienced soccer coaches and administrators. The "Attack" teams focus on highly competitive, skillful competition against strong teams from upstate New York. The league keeps records and plays for championships. These champions can go to State and National play-offs. CASL fields gender-specific teams in all age brackets beginning with U-8, up through U-19. As determined by our governing organization, the New York State West Youth Soccer Association (NYSWYSA), the U-8 through U-10 teams do not play for standings. "Attack" teams play in about 12 league games annually, and enter two or more regional tournaments. Their season begins in January with indoor practices, and often reaches into August. Games are played at various host sites throughout the greater Rochester region. All coaches are volunteers.
